Nepean
General Hospital is located in the City of Penrith at the
foot of the Blue Mountains on the western perimeter of
Greater Sydney in NSW.
The Nepean General Hospital is easily accessed by both rail and road (M4 Motorway, Great Western Highway, The Northern Road, Richmond Road and Bringelly Road). Adjacent to both Parker St (Blue, north - south) and the Great Western Highway (High St), the hospital entrance is directly from Derby St which runs off Parker St. The Northern Road (from the south) changes its name to Parker St as it enters South Penrith. The nearest railway station is Kingswood on the junction of the Great Western Highway and Bringelly Road, approximately one block from the hospital complex. |

Social Worker |
A social worker is available to help with the emotional and practical difficulties of having a baby in a NIC Unit. If your baby is in the NIC Unit please do not hesitate to ask to see her any time you need assistance. If you have not yet had your baby, please speak with your local doctor or nursing staff if you are an inpatient. |

Lactation Consultant |
A lactation consultant is available to help you with advice about breastfeeding if your baby is in the NIC Unit. Your local doctor or your community nurse will also provide you with support and information. during pregnancy and after child birth, it is really
important to keep yourself fit & healthy by eating a
healthy diet and getting regular exercise. For some women it
may mean making lifestyle changes such as quitting smoking,
getting more physically active and making healthier food
